Our Banking & Finance Practice includes diverse practice areas relating to Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Islamic and Structured Finance, Project and Development Finance, Capital Markets, and Financial Sector Reform.
With experience of complex banking and finance transactions, our lawyers have participated in many of the most important business and financial transactions in the Gulf. Our lawyers and international experts have been at the centre of many of the region’s most important transactions, and have helped pioneer novel financial transactions in the Arab World.
Our lawyers and international experts have been active in a diverse number of leverage finance products, including senior secured, second lien, revolver and mezzanine syndicated loans, and senior, secured and subordinated high yield bonds throughout their careers. In addition, we have a very strong record of work in project finance, and infrastructure in the Gulf.
Given the growing demand for, and attention on Islamic Law and Structured Finance, we have developed a strong team composed of academics, and practitioners through our international experts, headed by Professor Frank Vogel, to provide commercial, and policy advise on Islamic law-related transactions. Our experience includes advising leading conventional and shari’ah-compliant financial institutions, fund managers, financial advisors, and foreign corporations interested in the region.
We are also emerging as a leader in Gulf capital markets practice. Issuers, and market participants within the region and globally rely on us for the most current advice on disclosure and corporate governance matters, corporate and securities regulatory issues, and transactional structuring.
