William Cattan

William Cattan is an experienced international lawyer, focusing on transactions in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry. He also has substantial experience in project finance, equipment finance, and bank finance transactions, and has worked on power, port, petrochemical, and telecommunications projects in the Middle East, Asia, the U.S.A., and Europe.

Malik Dahlan

Malik Dahlan is the Principal and Chief Lawyer of iQ. He is an expert in negotiation theory, and transnational political entrepreneurship, and has written, and advised on matters regarding legislative affairs, defence, energy policies, and foreign relations.

Ian Edge

Ian Edge is a civil practitioner and specialist in commercial and private international law. He is an expert on the civil and commercial laws of the Middle East, including the application of Islamic law. Edge’s clients include governments, major corporations and banks, in which he serves as draftsman of international contracts and counsel in international arbitrations.

Louis El-Sherif

Louis El-Sherif is a Legal Analyst with experience in transnational legal and policy analysis, management, and public relations. Mr. El-Sherif served as Chief Rapporteur and New Media Co-ordinator for the Qatar Law Forum.

Yang Zhao

Yang Zhao is an Associate Legal Analyst. He served as a rapporteur, and a member of the New Media team at the inaugural Qatar Law Forum in May 2009.

He holds an LL.B., a B.Sc. in Economics, and an LL.M. from China, and an LL.M. (Banking and Financial Regulation) from England.
